Try-Outs

Both kids have completed their try-outs for Baseball/Softball... Already received update from Billy's coach and his colors are Green and Yellow... We'll see what Kayla's colors are.

Upper Loop

Drove around the upper loop of the island. We both liked the North Side, more vegetation, like home... but here are some of the pictures I was able to get of the mountains while Will was driving... The clouds were starting to build up again...

Dole Plantation

Went to the Dole Plantation... who new there were so many kinds of pineapples... 100+ go figure. Also it takes 3 years to grow eatable fruit. Had pineapple ice cream... kind of like vanilla with pineapple chunks better...

The Black Pear?

In the marina next to our resort there is a pirate ship... so we took a walk to see it... Here are some pictures, I'll let you can decide...

Pearl Harbor

We went to Pearl Harbor on Monday and was a great experience to see what those people went thru and the amount of people that passed away... Took some pictures of the USS Bowfin and USS Missouri...

June 2009

June 30th Billy had a doctors appointment at Childrens Hospital (Allergy Doc) and since Grandma and Kayla went with us we went down to the water front and had lunch, walked around and enjoyed the end of the day.

June 27th we had a baby show for Karine and Joe... Baby Ben.

Kayla had her 9th birthday and we went to the movies... total of 9 kids... what a night. Most important - she had a blast.

Kayla's class had a field trip to the Zoo in Tacoma. Kayla did a story about a blue tooth skink and the entire time I was reading the story I thought she was talking about a skunk and just splet it wrong. So she told me about the skink and we go to see one this year at the zoo... she was really excited...there was nothing the guy was able to tell her about the animal. My group that I had and they were tired at the end of the day and so was I.

Billy had a class field trip to see "Good Night Moon"... great day to go to Seattle and eat by the water fountain.

Planting the pumpkins that were started in the house... see the watermelons starting in the row next to the bricks... The kids and I went to Oregon to visit family... of course I forgot the camera while seeing family... but when we stopped for dinner on the way home the kids wanted their picture taken of their face before they rubbed off...
